چکیده

We consider a process in which there are p–species of particles, i.e. A1, A2, · · · , Ap, on an infinite one–dimensional lattice. Each particle Ai can diffuse to its right neighboring site with rate Di, if this site is not already occupied. Also they have the exchange interaction Aj +Ai → Ai +Aj with rate rij . We study the range of parameters (interactions) for which the model is integrable. The wavefunctions of this multi–parameter family of integrable models are found. We also extend the 2–species model to the case in which the particles are able to diffuse to their right or left neighboring sites. PACS numbers: 82.20.Mj, 02.50.Ga, 05.40.-a

Reaction-diffusion processes and their connection with integrable quantum spin chains

This is a pedagogical account on reaction-diffusion systems and their relationship with integrable quantum spin chains. Reaction-diffusion systems are paradigmatic examples of non-equilibrium systems. Their long-time behaviour is strongly influenced through fluctuation effects in low dimensions which renders the habitual mean-field cinetic equations inapplicable. Starting from the master equati...

Reaction-Diffusion Processes described by Three-State Quantum Chains and Integrability

The master equation of one-dimensional three-species reaction-diffusion processes is mapped onto an imaginary-time Schrödinger equation. In many cases the Hamiltonian obtained is that of an integrable quantum chain. Within this approach we search for all 3-state integrable quantum chains whose spectra are known and which are related to diffusive-reactive systems. Two integrable models are found...

Experimental Realizations of Integrable Reaction-Diffusion Processes in Biological and Chemical Systems

Stochastic reaction-diffusion processes may be presented in terms of integrable quantum chains and can be used to describe various biological and chemical systems. Exploiting the integrability of the models one finds in some cases good agreement between experimental and exact theoretical data. This is shown for the Rubinstein-Duke model for gel-electrophoresis of DNA, the asymmetric exclusion p...

Solvable reaction-diffusion processes without exclusion

For reaction-diffusion processes without exclusion, in which the particles can exist in the same site of a one-dimensional lattice, we study all the integrable models which can be obtained by imposing a boundary condition on the master equation of the asymmetric diffusion process. The annihilation process is also added. The Bethe ansatz solution and the exact N-particle conditional probabilitie...

A new class of integrable diffusion–reaction processes

We consider a process in which there are two types of particles, A and B, on an infinite one–dimensional lattice. The particles hop to their adjacent sites, like the totally asymmetric exclusion process (ASEP), and have also the following interactions: A + B → B + B and B + A → B + B, all occur with equal rate. We study this process by imposing four boundary conditions on ASEP master equation. ...
